Hello Everyone-

I've had a few more questions come to may attention, and thought I'd send this out to everyone....

1. Does each student need to be accompanied by an adult?
NO, they do not. Parents are certainly welcomed though. This will be the
3rd trip I've done with students at JT Moore and the parents were a delight and very helpful
on the trip. The trip is set up to have teacher chaperones and students 6 students to 1 teacher. At this point
I'm hoping that Mr. Doty (6th grade), and Mrs. Hittle (7th & 8th grade) will both go.

2. Will there be group fundraisers by the students to help off setcosts?
Metro frowns on too many fundraisers, from a school (weird I know)....but, I know that there are kids/families already
planning some fundraising ideas of their own to save up some money. Terri Patton was one of the parents talking to me
about her girls working on some things. So after we have a meeting, perhaps some parents/students would want to organize
some things like car washes, yard sales...etc.

3. Is the weather good for traveling during our winter break?
The weather will be similar to what it is here during that time of the year, so it will be cold, but not unbearably cold.
Beijing is on the same line of latitude as Philadelphia, Xi'an the same as Savannah, GA, and Shanghai is the same as Jacksonville, Florida.
So that should give you some idea of what it will be like there. I'm looking forward to it being cooler this time, when I was there this summer it
was in JULY and it was BLAZING hot the whole time! haha.

4. How many students and adults have expressed interest, and how manyneed to commit in order for the trip to happen?
There needs to be SIX for the trip to take place, but I have had many more than that express interest in writing as you have done.
I have had a little over 20 students/parents express interest.

I'm including a link to some video and pictures from the Chinese New Year celebration, and a link to some of my photographs from my trip to China this summer!
The trip I was on this summer included all three places we will be visiting on this trip. My favorite part of my trip to China was the PEOPLE!
They were wonderful, wonderful hosts!
